Data Cabling & Home Network Installation

Structured data cabling for homes and small commercial spaces across Logan, Brisbane Southside and the Northern Gold Coast — Cat6 runs, patch panels, wall plates and Wi-Fi access point installation.

A home network is only as reliable as its physical layer. We run Cat6 structured cabling through roof spaces and wall cavities, install proper patch panels and keystone outlets, and position access points for real coverage rather than best-guess placement. No surface-run cable tacked along skirting boards. No patch job that falls apart six months later.

What this covers

  • Cat6 structured cabling for home offices and multi-room networks
  • Patch panel and wall plate installation — flush-mounted, clean finish
  • Wi-Fi access point mounting and low-voltage cabling
  • TV antenna points and distribution amplifiers
  • Data cabinet installation for equipment consolidation
  • Cable testing and certification on completion

Common questions

What's the difference between Cat5e and Cat6 cabling?

Cat6 supports higher bandwidth and is better suited to modern gigabit networks and future-proofing. We install Cat6 as standard — Cat5e is adequate for many applications but the cost difference is minimal and the performance headroom matters over a 10–15 year installation life.

Can you run data cabling without making a mess of the walls?

In most homes yes. We route cabling through roof spaces and stud cavities wherever possible and cut the smallest hole required for each outlet. The finish looks like it was always there — not like an afterthought.

Do you install Wi-Fi access points or just the cabling?

Both. We can supply and install business-grade access points (Ubiquiti, TP-Link Omada) or mount and connect units you've purchased. Either way, the cabling is installed to proper structured cabling standards.
